If you use the photo meal analysis feature, images are processed by our AI service to analyze nutritional content. Photos may be temporarily processed on external servers for AI analysis but are not permanently stored by us after analysis is complete.

Data Storage and Security

Your health and fitness data is primarily stored locally on your device using secure SQLite database storage. We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your personal information, including:

• Local data encryption on device
• Secure communication protocols (HTTPS) for any server communication
• No cloud sync of personal health data without your explicit consent

However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

Our App may use the following third-party services:

Apple Watch Data

If you use our Apple Watch companion app:

• Workout data is synced between your Watch and iPhone via Apple's WatchConnectivity framework
• Fasting timer data is stored locally on both devices
• We do not transmit Watch data to external servers

Children's Privacy

FitJourney is intended for users aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access all personal information stored in the App
• Export your health and fitness data
• Delete all your data from the App (via Settings > Clear All Data)
• Opt-out of notifications
• Disable photo meal analysis features
• Remove ads by purchasing Premium

Data Retention

Your data is retained locally on your device for as long as you use the App. If you choose to delete your data through the App settings, all personal information will be permanently removed from your device. We do not maintain copies of your personal health data on our servers.

FitJourney is operated from Australia. If you are accessing the App from outside Australia, please be aware that your information may be processed in Australia, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
